In a city known for innovation and technology, a different kind of energy filled the corridors of Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology. The occasion was the SEVC Season 8 Virtual Round.

A New Stage for Innovation

Coming off the momentum of ESVC 2025, where our latest vehicle Heliark achieved a top speed of 95 km/h, the SEVC Virtual Round offered a completely different kind of challenge.

This time, the emphasis was not on performance on the track, but on strategy, design thinking, and communication; how effectively we could articulate the engineering that drives our solar-electric vehicles.

At 12:00 PM, we took the stage to unveil our work on Heliark. Unlike the racetrack, this round tested our engineering thought process, system design, and strategic reasoning, the very foundation that drives our vehicle development.

Preparing for the round demanded rigorous internal reviews to understand the reasoning behind each design decision, material choice, and component selection, ensuring that we could defend every aspect of our vehicle with clarity and confidence.

The SEVC Virtual Round was not just a presentation, it was an interactive dialogue with the judging panel. Their valuable feedback and technical insights provided us with new perspectives on refining our design and enhancing overall vehicle performance.

The Event: Where Innovation Meets Evaluation

The judging framework at SEVC evaluated teams not only on technical content, but also on collaboration, clarity, and feasibility. Our presentation stood out for its integration of simulation insights, empirical testing, and forward-looking improvements for upcoming seasons.

Every answer was backed by data; every claim supported by analysis. The conversation with the judges evolved into a meaningful exchange of ideas, one that offered us invaluable guidance for further refining our systems and design approach.

Looking Ahead

With the successful completion of the SEVC Virtual Round, our focus now shifts toward physical validation, endurance optimisation, and energy telemetry refinement as we prepare for the next stage of the championship.
